Surfing dog, girl and dad ride the wave of fame tells of a family who recently won a dog-surfing contest in Imperial Beach and are quickly becoming "mini-celebrities":
The ride isn't quite over for Chandler, Tyler and Zoey, who all surfed regularly together before the contest. Zoey is being fitted for her own wet suit and may be the main character in a children's book, Chandler said.
The "Montel Williams" episode aired last week, and Chandler is trying to work out a time to appear on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."
They also are waiting to hear more details of a trip to Petco Park for next season's Dog Day of Summer event, where fans get to take their dogs to the game. Chandler said he was approached by Petco officials who suggested he, Tyler and Zoey throw out the first pitch at the game.
